Kahzar Rublon is a visual artist who specializes in realistic portrait drawings.  Kahzar’s work is heavily inspired by African-American beauty, culture and history, spiritual calling and a deep need for personal growth and transformation. Through her artwork, Kahzar likes to focus on the intricate depths and details of her subjects, seeking to thoroughly translate their essence into a lasting work of art. 

 

Kahzar also serves as as an educator- teaching and mentoring students in visual arts. Kahzar has partnered with a number of organizations such as the Mural Arts Program of Philadelphia, the Cleveland School of the Arts, the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning and many more to expand student's knowledge and practice in visual arts.

The work engages portraiture as a form of visual archiving, emphasizing dignity, permanence, and historical continuity.
